Today's word of the day is "Tawakkul". It means to trust and rely on Allah completely, knowing that He is the ultimate provider and controller of all affairs. It helps us find peace and contentment by surrendering our worries to Allah while putting in efforts.
Allah says in the Quran, "And upon Allah should the believers rely." (Surah Ibrahim, verse 12).
Tawakkul strengthens our faith and brings tranquility to our lives.
Dua for seeking strength and guidance from Allah. It is mentioned in Surah Al-'Ankabut, verse 30:
"Rabbana anzil 'alayna ma'idatan minas sama'i takoonu lana 'eedan li-awwalina wa aakhirina wa aayatan minka warzuqna wa anta khayru ar-raziqeen."
Translation: "Our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, and You are the best of provider".
On the blessed day of Jummah (Friday), it is highly recommended to recite various supplications. One such dua is mentioned in Surah Al-Jumu'ah, verse 10 of the Qur'an:
Translation: "Our Lord, give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."
This dua encompasses our desires for goodness in both this worldly life and the Hereafter.
